Behzad Yazdani and Romina Khazali, a Baha’i couple in Shiraz & parents of two teenage children, have been arrested by IRGC intelligence agents. Mr. Yazdani was detained on the evening of March 28 & transferred to Adelabad Prison, while the whereabouts of Ms. Khazali, who was violently arrested the following day, remain unknown. Their home, as well as the homes of their parents, were repeatedly raided & searched. During these operations, agents confiscated personal belongings, including mobile phones, laptops & other electronic devices belonging to the couple, their family members & even guests present at the time. Authorities also interrogated the couple’s 14-year-old daughter & subjected relatives & visitors to questioning. In addition, religious books, images & digital storage devices were seized during the searches. Security forces pressured his family and even prevented them from holding a proper memorial. They fear his name, his story, his memory. On April 1st, at around 11:00 AM, IRGC forces entered the home of #Behzad_Basiri and #Mandana_Sotoudeh, a Bahá’í couple living in Shiraz, without presenting a judicial warrant. After thoroughly searching the house, they confiscated electronic devices and arrested them, taking them to an undisclosed location. On March 29th, IRGC forces also arrested Mandana’s sister, #Mahsa_Sotoudeh. The reasons for the arrests, their place of detention, and their condition are unknown. #StopBahaiPersecution

On March 29, a group of IRGC intelligence agents raided the home of #Behzad_Yazdani, a Shiraz resident, and his wife’s family, #Romina_Khazali, a Bahá'í married couple, for the 4th time over the course of 2 nights. Around 10 agents searched the home for about 4 hours, confiscating items including religious books, photographs, laptops, mobile phones, and digital storage devices belonging to family and guests. Romina was detained in front of her children, which involved threats and verbal abuse, before taken to an undisclosed location. This triggered multiple anxiety attacks in their 14-year-old son, who repeatedly used his inhaler. Their 14-year-old daughter was interrogated by security agents. Several relatives and guests were questioned. Their mobile phones were confiscated without warrants. Official charges are unknown. During a 2nd visit that same night, Behzad was taken into custody. In a brief phone call on March 29, he told his family he was transferred to Adel-Abad Prison in Shiraz. #StopBahaiPersecution
