My review of the Radix Incentive campaign so far: 1. Technically incredible. The foundation devs have pulled off an airdrop template similar in style to the @SonicLabs airdrop but probably the most transparent and technically sophisticated I have ever seen. Dashboard unmatched. Easily see your activity points earned in real time and how they are converted to season points each week. Clearly see each incentivized activity, rank among the entire community, and how changes made affect your point earning. Most airdrops are "Do xyz, wait until X date, release a checker, see if you got an airdrop or not" This is not that. Its a fully defined rewards dashboard which is really freaking cool - and I imagine it will prevent a lot of headaches and heart ache at the end of each season since users know where they stand along the way. 2. Hiccup with overleverage. Some whale not paying attention and apparently not very knowledgeable about leverage looped a ton of tokens on a lending market to the point of a tiny dip causing massive cascading liquidations. This set back the overall momentum of the campaign and now another spark is needed to continue the upward trajectory and get more eyes on the tech stack. Could this spark be MFA? Could it be a new CTO? My money is it being on the public scalability test whenever that can finally happen or maybe even just general alt bull market hitting. 3. Some improvements are needed. I think the two dapps that need to be in the spotlight for this campaign are @surge_trade and @ilisdao Flux protocol, and currently they are not. Time to scale back some rewards elsewhere and put them in specific pools for these two amazing dapps. We need a dedicated category for Surge LP so we can have plenty of liquidity for some perp competitions without any skew risk. We need deposits counted for Flux ASAP as well as pools using our own native stable incentivized. This implementation of a stablecoin similar to @LiquityProtocol BOLD is so cool and a showcase of the true power of @Scrypto_Lang on @radixdlt. Incentivizing other areas while not specifically these dapps means they literally just wont be used. We need a bit of clarity on timelines for adding other things into incentives. There is not much point launching something right now if it cant be included because a launch will flop with very little usage while those using the ledger are trying to position for the best airdrop. We must nurture the two tools that will end up being the TVL getters and tools to win mindshare from other ledgers that frankly can't compete with the Radix tech stack. I am actually having a blast with this campaign though. I am building little tools to help me interact with various components, doing more LP than I ever have, constantly trading perps which has been a LOT of fun. Lets keep it moving though, turn off some incentives some weeks and start more stuff up. Don't let users farm points on autopilot. cc @Adam_XRD Also, if you haven't joined yet... why not?!
