We need to be loud about the things we love, about our favorite books, movies, songs, art. We need to shout them from the rooftops. Because you know who’s always loud? People who hate things. In this algorithm that rewards negativity, let’s be loud enough to drown the hatred.

my first drafts are usually dreadful. rewriting is where the real writing happens.

That’s why I wrote a whole fantasy novel like ten years ago because that was a crazy time in my life lol

Just reminds me why I started writing more often, I was going through a lot and and having trouble with dealing with it and writing helped SO much

I can tell my mental health is being affected by how I haven’t had any time to write at all lately. Writing anything, ANYTHING at all helps me process emotions a lot and I’ve just been go go go for weeks. Going to have to force myself to write a crappy poem or something today

Nothing like waiting for the eventual rejection of possibly one of your best works because you got too jumpy with submitting it and only later did you realize that if you tweaked the plot in the smallest of ways it would have fit the anthology perfectly
