every catastrophic horrible technological advancement that has the potential to destroy society was warned to us by sci movies in the 80s and we just completely ignore it

@2zenithbby I think in reality the main inspiration is money for the people who made those dystopian like technologies work for them, which in turn turned into a similar post apocalyptic outcome. the creators just sensed the natural greed in humanity. basically it was always an inevitability

@baredex Makes you wonder what a truly effective cautionary techno dystopia story could look like, considering some of the most obvious ham fisted ones (to me) still ended up inspiring ppl to recreate the evil shit

it’s interesting to me how there’s musicians who essentially make the same song and beat over and over again and then there’s ultra adhd musicians who making vastly different songs and beats every time. i feel like in the latter

@baredex I find a lot of peoples issues is that they think they need to be Drake or Michael Jackson and if they’re not then why try People don’t appreciate the life of a small creative enough.

if you don’t give up making music at some point you’ll eventually get somewhere. if you stay consistent it’s an inevitably. problem is most people don’t have the mental fortitude or passion to not give up until that happens
