The final game of the 🇮🇹 trip turned out to be the best Lecce 1 Fiorentina 1 Serie A 🎟 €25 👥25,000 (est) Fantastic support from the Lecce fans #groundhopping

@jones_sijones77 @barty181 But plenty of buses provided from near the train station on matchday and for return as well... Tickets are like a euro or 2 so dead easy in all honesty.

@RobynhoXIII I'd agree, it's a practice that sadly is common in the UK too, I hate it 🤬

@barty181 10k fans on Saturday it's a rather inflated number because they also count season ticket holders that weren't at the game (me, for example, because i was ill), I'd say there were betwee 5-6k fans for real.

@Sakunamiii @7berceziga7 And I didn't take a local fan's seat and/or push up the price for them which is the issue with tourist fan's. I've seen games in 60 Countries, Italy happens to be one of my favourites

@horizonpilgrim Yes it's a beautiful stadium quite unique but not great for the fans which in the long run is the most important thing

@barty181 Stadium is itself a little masterpiece of architecture. It was designed by Renzo Piano and meant to resemble a space ship. Unfortunately not ideal for the fans though, as it's way too dispersive and the public is too far from the pitch

@horizonpilgrim @rafatorr87 Yes I understand from what I was told yesterday that the owners also own Napoli which is a potential big problem one day as they cannot play in the same division

@barty181 @rafatorr87 Many fans have been on a strike against the owners of the club, boycotting many of the games waiting for the club to be sold. It's true it's an enormous stadium for them but the attendency in other seasons is higher. Hope that clarifies some confusion

My first game of yesterday was an Apulian derby in Serie D Great to enjoy what was an entertaining game with fellow brits Adam & James who live in Fasano Fasano 1 Martina 0 🇮🇹Serie D Group H 🎟€20 (but went in the cheaper end with Adam & James they paid €8) #groundhopping

@rafatorr87 I expect it's maintained by the local authority who own it but no doubt that's reflected in the rent. They've been Serie C before so I expect they will carry on, t's a ridiculously sized stadium for them
