@bathsdesalting @SteveIsQuiteBig There’s a difference between a DPS being built to flank, and a DPS being built to be unkillable. Daredevil is unkillable af dude, it takes 3 characters shooting his ass for him to die, on average. A DPS should NEVER take that much effort to kill.

@bathsdesalting @SteveIsQuiteBig Nope, Daredevil, Black Cat, Elsa, and Gambit exist, and earlier seasons have even more people that could be named. It’s a reoccurring thing bruh, yet each meta those who adapted win, while those who don’t get left in the dust.

@godoftheender @SteveIsQuiteBig yes because double bans don’t exist, and its a terrible idea to ban characters that do counter your team composition. But then again since we’re playing counter swap rivals we really shouldn’t have to worry about that huh?

@bathsdesalting @SteveIsQuiteBig You say that as if we have 10 ban slots, 3 on each team dude, 6 bans. You’d have to deal with meta no matter what, pick your poison. It’s literally nothing new.

@godoftheender @SteveIsQuiteBig yeah… dps like daredevil are specifically made to be capable of surviving back lines… typically situations where they are outnumbered and might need additional support to kill.. I’m not expecting mag to go back there win a 1v1 against him. Poke gets countered by dive anyway…

@bathsdesalting @SteveIsQuiteBig Pretty much, it’s been like that ever since they made DPS capable of 1v1ing tanks, when it should’ve been the other way around. In fact, Devil Dino is the first tank in a long time who can actually win 1v1s against DPS, including Dare Devil. Big W on that part.

@bathsdesalting @SteveIsQuiteBig All I ever see as an argument is “It’s not fun! It’s unfair!”, and it’s always invalided by the fact it’s about fucking competitive. Meta’s are always changing, it’s up to players to adapt to win. I stopped playing Mag cause of it, Mag fell off hard, and he’s a throw pick now.

@godoftheender @SteveIsQuiteBig yeah quick play has no bans, so dino runs wild in qp, so then again you are limited to 3 out of the 14 tanks in the game, and if you don’t match the dino. You lose, that’s it. End of the story.

@bathsdesalting @SteveIsQuiteBig Last I checked, competitive is the place you do whatever it takes to win. It’s not about having fun, it’s about trying to win and trying to rank up. Wanna have fun? Play quick play, that’s what it’s for. You don’t play comp to have fun, you play to win.

But I had to shove him aside and learn Thing/Strange, so I can play with more aggression. I did what I had to do to win, all players should.

@bathsdesalting @SteveIsQuiteBig That’s literally how team based games are. If you can’t handle that, then don’t play Marvel Rivals, that simple. These characters aren’t gonna magically disappear, the devs aren’t gonna remove anyone. It’s how the game has always been, Meta’s shift, deal with it.
