@varrock Not even the fucking Orange County police officers in FLORIDA do this. On a basic psychological level—what the fuck is wrong with the English for these stories to be so common?

@ReichWingWatch Either this dude was so confident that the police would side with him that he handed over his phone without thinking about it, or he was nonchalantly travelling around with physical photographs of CSAM. I'm honestly not sure which one of those is worse.

🚨Meet Adam Duane Pettibone of Boise, Idaho — who goes by “ForMob Adam” on Facebook, where he posted AI images of Trump as a Revolutionary War hero, used Trump’s mugshot as a profile pic, and shared anti-LGBTQ+ memes. On May 5th, the Wilder Police Department pulled Pettibone over in Greenleaf, Idaho. Officers conducted a lawful search of his vehicle and arrested him on felony and misdemeanor drug charges. During that search, police also discovered materials depicting the s-xual abuse of children. Following an investigation, Pettibone was charged with TWO felony counts of visual representation of s-xual abuse of children. Pettibone does not appear to be a drag queen, transgender, a gay dad, or undocumented immigrant — making national coverage of the case by the right-wing media unlikely. Instead: the usual suspect. Every. Single. Day.

@TheDonOfEvery Bold of you to assume she cooked anybody, considering she got back to her toxic ex who stabbed her. Also she resorted to personal attack like a cunt when he pointed out virtue signaling. She literaly got railed on her stream and she dares to talk about NSFW while having lewd art.

Rev really came running to his boy Chibi's aid to fight off the woman. This is just sad to watch. How pathetic do you have to be that you need another man to step in because you can’t handle a single woman calling you out? Deme cooked you completely and now you’re just salty, hiding behind your little protection squad and playing victim again. Your not a sympathetic figure and it shows exactly why Deme didn’t hold back. You got exposed and instead of taking it like a man you have your bros for backup. Embarrassing behavior from start to finish.

@MarimaStudy I think tentacles would be out of place for a hot springs scenario, but the moms have got to experience tentacles sometime sooner or later.

@MagicOriol24981 @cszabla That wasn't the point I was making. The old historian (the best of us) was just another victim of an imperfect system that its designers and rulers claim is working perfectly fine...all the way up to when a city councillor gets splattered on a road they greenlit.

@beh123234 @cszabla While generally true, a historian isn't really a member of the powerful and elite. Also he wasn't living in denial of anything, he was a very happy man who lived a very long life.

@JoeLongBalls The explosive payload is pretty small, roughly grenade-sized. That payload is absolutely lethal, but its probability of lethality drops really quickly the farther you are from the blast center. This technique isn't about being not injured but more about not dying.

@ITDept4Life @NE02Dem If you pass through Iowa, almost nobody wears cowboy hats. You will, however, occasionally spot a guy in a cowboy hat who is clearly a die-hard conservative cowboy larper. This is exactly the point the OP is making.

@NE02Dem Liberals get so easily confused on this, 'conservative' does not mean 'wears cowboy hat'. Almost nobody in Iowa wears a cowboy hat

@Bryce_Estelle Unironically, I'm a completely straight dude who has consistently been mistaken as gay for the effort I put into my appearance. That kinda fell off a little over 5 years ago when straight dudes started paying the bare minimum attention to fashion.

@JohnWakefieId It's honestly probably going to be the first mainstream right-wing interest group to fully break from MAGA or sabotage their interests. Utah is America's [domestically cultivated] Israel and can be expected to behave in the same ways when they don't get their way.

@RandalRauser The rather concerning subtext here is that this chud's definition of "successful" is the woman producing a child. Everything else is just flavor, apparently.

@sephirothrule34 Fully agree with the moral point you're making here, but I would like to point out that Italy has been infamously extremely underdeveloped for basically its entire history, especially in the last two centuries Quite frankly, I think it says more about how backwards rape laws are

they had a law in one of the "developed" countries where a punishment for a rapist was to simply let him rape his victim for the rest of her life, and it was abolished when my parents were teenagers. acting like misogyny is solved and over now is so dangerous
Mr PitBull Stories@MrPitbull07

In 1965, a 17-year-old girl in Sicily was kidnapped, assaulted, and held captive for over a week. Then her attacker offered her a deal: Marry him, and everything would be “forgiven.” At the time, Italian law allowed rapists to avoid punishment if they married their victims. It was called “reparatory marriage.” The logic was horrifying: A woman’s “honor” mattered more than her consent. If she married the man who violated her, her reputation could supposedly be restored — and the rapist could walk free. Most women had no real choice. Families pressured them. Communities expected obedience. The law itself encouraged silence. But Franca Viola said no. At 17 years old, traumatized and publicly shamed, she refused to marry the man who assaulted her. That single word changed Italy forever. Her decision sparked outrage in her town. Neighbors turned against her family. Their vineyards and olive groves were burned in retaliation. But Franca’s father stood beside her and supported her decision to press charges. In 1966, Franca testified publicly against her attacker in court. At a time when most victims were expected to stay silent forever, she spoke openly in front of the entire country. Italy watched in shock. Her attacker, Filippo Melodia, was convicted and sentenced to prison. For the first time in Italian history, a woman had publicly rejected “reparatory marriage” and won. The case became international news. But the law itself still remained. For another 15 years, rapists in Italy could technically still escape punishment by marrying their victims. Then finally, in 1981, Italy abolished the law completely. And many activists pointed to Franca Viola as the moment the country first began confronting the cruelty of that system. Years later, Franca married a childhood friend who had stood beside her through everything. Not because she needed her “honor restored.” But because she deserved love, dignity, and a life defined by her own choices. That’s why her story still matters. Franca Viola wasn’t just resisting one man. She was resisting an entire culture that treated women’s suffering as something to hide rather than something to fight. At 17 years old, she stood against her attacker, her community, and even the law itself. And eventually, the law changed. Sometimes history moves because powerful people decide to act. And sometimes history moves because one terrified teenager quietly refuses to surrender.
