We all pitched in to help them survive. ​Today, at their family Thanksgiving service, this man stood on the altar and pledged 5 Million Naira to the church building fund "as a token of appreciation for God’s secret blessings." ​The whole church was shouting "Praise the Lord!" but my cousin almost fainted in the front row. ​Turns out he’s been making serious money from Crypto/Foreign stocks for months, kept it in a separate account, and was letting his wife suffer because he wanted to "be sure she’s a submissive woman who can endure during the dry seasons." ​He told her that the 5M donation was his "tithe for the new level."
