you awake to 100k lumens of seasonal affective disorder lamp streaming into your pod. at the table, your caffeine pill and cold glass of huel await. you sit down, pop a handful of fresh bugs, and open today's edition of skunkledger.substack.com. life is good.

- better teachers can charge more 4. a trick @blapchat came up w/ for looking for good experienced teachers—look for: - a high ratio of <hours of lessons> to <number of students> - based on the idea that if the teacher is good, the students stick around - limited availability!

Here are my notes on *how to pick a language tutor*, and how the thing i call LANGUAGE RIZZ plays into it 1. shop around, don't just go with ur first choice! just like dating or finding a therapist. stakes are LOW, u can just get a bunch of 30-min lessons w different teachers

features of the rationalist/bay area dialect “this” much more heavily used than “that” “I expect” for “I think” heavy articulation at the ends of words “high-[noun]” or “low-[noun]” for "[adjective]", "very [adjective]" "[opposite of adjective]" (maybe from big 5?)
