One reason it feels like there's not many good midfielders under £6.5m is it's taking time to adjust to defensive contributions. Last season points, with this seasons prices as an example: £7.0m - Semenyo - 165 £7.0m - Rogers - 161 £6.5m - Sarr - 149 £6.5m - Mitoma - 145 £5.5m - Anderson - 143* £5.5m - Caicedo - 140* £6.0m - Damsgaard - 131 £6.5m - Kudus - 106 I do think that defensive midfielders are probably only viable if you're willing to hold them for a while though and focus transfers elsewhere. Attacking players can be moved around for fixtures, defensive ones you probably have to be willing to hold and have the drip feed of points instead. *Defensive contibution points added
