When I was younger, I remember making and swapping mixtapes and CDs for friends. The people around me are how I found so much great new music. And while it’s been a minute since I last made a mixtape 😂 I’ve never stopped sharing music with the people I care about. That sharing has just become a lot easier via Messages on Spotify.
Starting this week, you'll be able to send songs, playlists, podcasts, and audiobooks directly to friends and family, all within the app. I’m excited about what this unlocks. Because when sharing becomes part of the listening experience, discovery becomes more personal, more immediate, and a whole lot easier. Curious to hear what you all think.

We recently started testing out a new type of notification feed in the Spotify app that shows you things like who has started to follow you, new playlist collaborators, concerts near you and other personalized updates. If you're part of the test, you’ll see all of this under “Your Updates” in your sidebar. It's still in the early days but curious to hear what you all think.

Wild to think that it’s been 10 years since we launched Discover Weekly. What started as a Hack Week project that I wasn’t sure would stick has now more than 100 billion tracks streamed, over 56 million weekly artist discoveries, and is my daily reminder that giving teams room to experiment leads to some of the best ideas. Here’s to 10 years of Discover Weekly and many more Mondays to come.

One of my favorite things about our work at Spotify is to see and learn from users behaviors and to see what we can develop better. Just a few years ago, we noticed that publishers and fans in Germany were uploading podcasts and audiobooks to Spotify which really got us thinking about innovation within that space.
Now, Audiobooks in Premium is officially launching in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein. Lots of features available but excited for you guys to check out Resume Points so you can pick up right where you left off. Can’t wait to hear what you think.
