@KahlonRav This UBCO construction should never have been okayed. The number of buildings that have been impacted and evacuated is too many. One is too many.

My heart goes out to the folks of Hadgraft Wilson Place facing evacuation due to safety concerns. I can’t imagine how stressful this must be. Pathways Abilities Society, the City of Kelowna, and BC Housing will ensure every person is supported moving to temporary accommodation.

@j_mcelroy Interestingly, a school can have 16 portables but not add any washrooms for either staff or students. The core facilities don't change: the gym, the library, the lunch area, the staff room, and washrooms stay the same no matter the population growth.

A few months ago I wanted to know exactly how many portables there were in every community in the province. The province said "too bad, you'll have to contact every single school district in British Columbia." Fortunately, I'm a very stubborn person. cbc.ca/news/canada/br…

Just found out that FRONT DESK has been banned AGAIN in a school in Las Vegas. A parent wrote a letter (like the template on No Left Turn which teaches parents how to write ban letters for FRONT DESK) & the teacher was asked to stop reading and discussing FRONT DESK.😭

Looking for an intro to Spanish textbook - good for grade 7/8 students. Any suggestions? New course for us so any stellar resource recommendations would be appreciated.
