BTS has been nominated in three categories at the American Music Awards, including the top honor, Artist of the Year.
According to the list of nominees announced on April 14, BTS received nominations for Artist of the Year, Best Male K-Pop Artist, and Song of the Summer.
With this, BTS will compete for Artist of the Year against nine major pop stars, including Bad Bunny, Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, and Lady Gaga. BTS previously made history in 2021 as the first Korean act to win Artist of the Year.
The American Music Awards is one of the major U.S. pop music award shows, often considered alongside the Billboard Music Awards and the Grammy Awards as one of the three biggest music awards ceremonies in the United States.
The American Music Awards will be held on May 25 (local time) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
