It is inconceivable that the federal government has no answers nor has taken any action to get to the bottom of the unidentified drones. The fecklessness of this administration was on display last year when a Chinese surveillance balloon was allowed to fly over the entire continental United States before being shot down. Such should be viewed as a threat to our nation and citizens and action is long overdue. We have recourses and assets in our arsenal to get answers, but I suppose Ukraine is more important to the White House. January 20th can’t come soon enough.

@WilhelmArnesen A lot of aspects of this story I don't find fundamentally wrong. When a teen friend flipped his car transporting a "HUMP" sign he'd stolen from a speed bump after prom, police still helped him. Feds don't nearly treat all fairly, but the gov is supposed to help even idiots.

Somebody simply has to write the ultimate catch-all essay on disruptive, libertarian, private-sector-touting entrepreneurs simply begging and demanding for state intervention at the end of their journeys. (This is the Titan sub company's adviser.)

It's a strange article: lots of vibing, even as it points out we don't have a lot of data about pandemic school spending. And then there's this: do we understand these are different cohorts we're comparing? They're not the same kids taking the same test?

Always interesting to see what certain experts consider to be "reasonable" school expenditures. You know who parks in those lots? Teachers and tutors.
