@tjvision @tpoi @phylorich @ethanwhite I agree. Unfortunately, I think it's too lat for TRY, but worth keeping mind for similar efforts.

@tpoi @phylorich Fair enough - but for much of TRY the data owners have given up their right to say no. ~2.6M records are auto released.

@tpoi @phylorich As a data contributor to TRY, I can, if I want, make my data available to any request. That's far from locking it away.

@phylorich I'm confused! Is this a critcism of TRY? If so, I'd say it's misplaced - it's a platform for sharing data that allows open access
