Introducing Jupiter Verify – Token Verification, Now 4x Tastier! 🍽️ Token verification in defi is a permissionless nightmare and ever-evolving challenge but getting it right is crucial for the ecosystem to grow. That’s why Jupiter has grinded through multiple iterations of verification that the ecosystem has come to rely on — from the V1 Strict List to the V2 Catdetlist. Now, we’re launching V3 with Jupiter Verify, a set of token verification standards designed to bring in more public collaboration that helps users be confident when they are buying tokens, and gives projects the ability to convey trust. Verification Standards, Cooked 4 Ways Each standard will come with a shiny badge you can display next to your token on all our products. 1) Blue Chip This would convey that the token has stood the test of time and gained solid recognition in the ecosystem. This list will be dynamic – tokens have to sustain at least $100M in market cap over a month and will be manually managed by the team. Examples: USDC, JUP, SOL, WIF 2) Community Assisted These tokens may be new, but they’ve got traction and clear community recognition. For most coins, there will be a minimum bar from a combination of market cap, liquidity, organic score and CT smart likes. We also recognize that metrics aren’t everything — sometimes, the vibes and community lore matter just as much, and we will be looking to incorporate community lore and notes from the community in later iterations. The current catdetlist site will be deprecated, projects no longer have to apply. Instead, we’ll approve 1 - 3 strong tokens a day that bubble up to the top of this list, depending on market conditions. While we are iterating on the exact thresholds, the best way to get your token verified is to work on your community lore, smart likes and trading momentum that factors into the organic score. Examples: JELLYJELLY 3) Social ID Verification With every celebrity token launch, there are dozens of imposters. This badge confirms that a verified social account has officially attested to a token’s mint address – either via an official tweet or verified submission on our site. We will be rolling this out iteratively – sign up on the site to get notified when this is live! 4) C.A.T. Report (Certainty, Alignment, Transparency) Token launches are wild – uncertainty about supply, a lack of long-term alignment with stakeholders, and a lack of transparency fuel FUD. We’ll work with projects as a neutral third party to review and publish reports on a project’s token set-up, helping communities buy with confidence. Got an upcoming launch?
