my take on the "free lunch era in crypto is over": every easy money model from the last 8 years such as icos, defi summer, nft flips, airdrops, points farming, memecoins has been discovered, industrialized, and arbitraged to zero margin but the end of free lunches doesn't mean the end of opportunity it means the edge shifts from "show up and collect" to "be skilled and compete" the gold rush ended but gold mining became a multi-billion dollar industry for people who brought real equipment and real expertise the opportunity isn't smaller, it just requires more specialization and actual effort now no free lunch. the restaurant is open, but the menu just costs more and you need to know how to read it.
