The other day, I've had yet another unofficial double feature of Avatar 2 (private) and 3 in the cinema - my 245th and 140th screening, respectively. 😁😅 Wonder whether I'll cross the 150 during #AvatarFireAndAsh's regular run. I even think to have noted a new detail in @simonfranglen's score for A3, which so far has evaded me: During the scene, right before the Mangkwan attack, when Paylak calls something, there seems to be a little choir/voices to be heard. Either that's specific to a film version, or that part is completely missing from the albums... or I'm just blind (well, rather deaf). 🤔 (Damn, I need to find some free time to continue with my review[0] of it.) @calestyo It’s a while since we did those previews. I think there were tweaks to the scenes between those being finished and the final A3 master. Not massive, but there could be a few small changes at the start and end

Maybe the source of Pandoras' musical soul, @simonfranglen, can shed some light on this... That was about two weeks ago when I had my most recent private Avatar 2 screening... and since Disney keeps sending the October version of it to "my" cinema, I get the A3 preview every time (before usually having a real A3 screening right after 🤭😇). Anyway... it took me quite a while to notice, but I think the preview version with the Mangkwan attack features a different version of the music than what's used in the actual film scene?! Is that just because of cuts or did you make real changes just for the preview? 🤔 PS: Did I already mention how much I love your music? (I mean like in the last 24h or so 😅)

Yesterday's #AvatarFireAndAsh... @JimCameron's epic masterpiece. Again, countryside cinema (deep in the Bavarian forests). I quite miss the English screenings... while there were many until a few weeks ago, it's all German screenings only by now. Well, sooner or later, I'll anyway have to switch to private screenings as I do with Avatar 2.

So many wonderful cues missing, so many alternative/film versions,... the little <30s intros/outros, the demos, et cetera. 😥 All the great many music you can be so proud of. (I *may* exaggerate, but I feel a bit like King Theoden - "So much death..."-speech - lamenting the unreleased material. 😇😅) Not that the +30mins aren't great. But on the flipside it merely means that the just-as-outstanding A2 score misses even more material. 😜 PS: Had sent you PM a while ago, not sure whether it had gotten through,... but it ain't urgent anyway.

Disney asked me to release only a single album for #AvatarFireAndAsh They agreed to make it long - almost 30 minutes longer than the A2 extended release. This scene and cue unfortunately didn’t make it onto the album, I’m sorry. I agree the whole scene is wonderful. If you want to hear the cue’s genesis - check Way of Water - Quaritch looking at his skeleton and skull. This is The Fallen Soldier theme. It felt appropriate for Q’s speech.

This is probably the best scene in the entire movie. The conversation between Jake and Quaritch is so interesting and I think the movie would have been more interesting (and better) if they had more moments like this one. #AvatarFireandAsh

Due to Easter (visiting the countryside for a few days), I've had the first time no #AvatarFireAndAsh screening for more than one day since it was released on the 17th[0] of December. 😰 Actually 3 consecutive painful days without. Before, I've had only 3 in total. Luckily, I've had at least the wonderful music of dear @simonfranglen, which brought me over the days. I'm also more than overdue with the next part of my "review"[1] of his marvellous work. (Too much programming work lately.) Alas, still no new(ly released) music from him. 😥 Well, and thanks to the cinema in Waldkraiburg (which is semi-close to where I'm outside of Munich), I finally ended the 3-days-break and went back to Pandora last evening. More A2/3 music material desperately needed. 😇 The 130th, I had again at my dear friends at Cineplex Neufahrn (where I also have my A2 screenings). 😊 I'd love to invite Jim, Simon, etc. For my 150th (or better my 200th... in a few years... 200 feels mlre special 😅).
