I'm an observer from afar, but it seems to me people need to trust Trump a bit more. He has known and stated for Decades that the Iranian Regime has to go. A two way ceasefire is a way point - not the end. I think where Trump wants this to end up is the same as where Israel and the Iranian people want it to end up, but is is a process, and a complicated one getting there. None of us observers are privy to any of it. There remains high risk of wider escalation, and none of us wish for that. I remember posting well before the war began, when people were saying he had failed, that Trump would take the action in the right time. And he did. Lives are being lost in Iran and Israel, and elsewhere, and the journey is tough, but the day and end will come! Trusting Trump's and Israel's judgement a little more might make the road better...

I actually don't think he is lying, but actually believes IT ALL! Seems to me that at some point, a year or so ago, Tucker quite suddenly flipped sides. My assessment: He became energized by Anti Israel tripe and dug into several "rabbit holes" - the "evidence" in which can be persuasive in isolation. He became fixated. In that process he either ignored, or worse is not aware of, deeper historical evidence and context that totally undermines his position. There is immense, almost blinding power in such "esoteric", "hidden" or "special" "knowledge". Tucker is drunk on that power and enamored with a clicking, basement dwelling audience sucking it up. But, critically, I fear he believes he has done his "research" and has locked in on a base belief. This is why he gets more extreme every week. He is so sure he is correct in his position, that now, every effort is filling in the gaps, linking more dots and enabling more bizarre conclusions every day. There is no effort to check himself - he believes he is right!

Ok this is just getting to be absurd. @TuckerCarlson just suggested on his most recent podcast episode that Israel is behind the attempted assassination of President Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania. He is using Joe Kent as an authority and source on this. Meanwhile, Joe Kent is a discredited leaker and liar. President Trump has repeatedly said Iran tried to assassinate him. Tucker is just making up every lie in the world and is trying to blame it on Israel. It’s reckless, and it’s created a psychosis in the public for the purpose of making people hate Jews. Tucker is such a nefarious liar and conman. It’s just disgusting. He really is dangerous because he knows he’s lying and he doesn’t care. He gets more extreme with each passing week.

Sally, yes, if it is happening every country should have regulations to prevent it - mine included. The trouble is, until science has actually validated reliable data as to how much it is happening, we have no real measure of how far we should go, and at what expense in dollars and inconvenience action should be taken. From what I can discover, reliable data does not yet exist. Rather, the whole "response" seems to be knee jerk and populist - pushed by hype not science:(

R Tyner, thank you, but I can also find a "ton" of published data on how good the Jabiru was too, and we know it was not. My point there is that it is easy to fall into the trap of assuming quality of data because of quantity of data. As for fish and birds. Totally agree. Microplastics in the body/brain and birds and fish are entirely different issues. It may well be that I should be able to have my (harmless to me?) plastic drinking straw and spoon, whilst also keeping the plastic bag etc out of the ocean!!

@cb25chris @epaleezeldin @SecKennedy There's a ton of serious scientific data and info published on the dangers of microplastics and other plastics in the environment, in the oceans, in our bodies, and in fish/birds/etc. A 5-minute search will bring up plenty of info.

Sally, the fats in the human brain that "could" be turned into "plastic" would make almost exactly TWO teaspoons! That may be a coincidence, or it could point to a flawed methodology wherein the study that horrified us all by finding two teaspoons of microplastics in the brain MAY have just "made" it from the fats IN the brain!

There almost seems to be no words that can describe how obscenely evil people can become. I often point out that people ultimately choose a religion (or none) that suits their personality and nature. In this case, an ideology that can justify such evil, and a personality and nature that can carry it out, should both be sent to the depths of hell. Totally agree:( I've noticed even some high profile people (as in lots of followers) I follow are using AI to write their posts and not even doing a good job at "hiding" it! Apart from the issue of everything becoming AI, there is also a question of integrity, honesty and authenticity. When I did my study, and had to submit assignments, I had to use quotation marks etc, or make darn sure it looked like my own words and thoughts! Some of these folks on X have no shame!

Often it was difficult on X to spot fake news. Now with AI, it’s becoming near impossible to spot a fake video or image. People rely on AI (Grok) to tell them if something is AI. It is possible that X will just become an AI information platform and we won’t know what’s real and what’s not. Not a good place to be.
