Ballot Result: 9 in 10 of our members voted to strike for the pay they deserve. But despite this overwhelming result, the Government’s anti-trade union legislation has prevented members in state-funded schools and colleges from taking industrial action. Our statement:

The Govt say they are pro-education, but they're not willing to pay for it. We don't have enough red pen supplies to correct that calculation... So use a black pen to vote YES & YES in your #BetterDealForTeachers ballot to show them what being pro-education really looks like.

Teachers aren't asking for 5 gold rings or a partridge in a pear tree. After 12 years of pay cuts, we just want our pay restored and our profession valued. With 97% of teachers worried about their finances, this winter will be really tough. We need a #BetterDealForTeachers.
