I LOVE the Rez pick for 2 primary reasons: 1. It serves as a proof of concept of the kind of team building they are going to prioritize moving forward. Big, Strong, Athletes that defend multiple positions. 2. I love Rez. I believe that he is a winning player. Someone could say, "But wouldn't Burries fit that concept as well? And he would full a position of desperate need!" That is very fair. But at the end of the day I think we must conclude that the Mavs front office thought Rez is a better building block around Cooper than Burries.
