Today we remember Spenser Maxted, rector of St Oswald’s Haberfield in 1914 when the First World War broke out. Serving as a stretcher bearer at Gallipoli, and later an AIF chaplain on the Western Front, Maxted was killed in action at Fromelles in 1916. Lest we forget. #ANZACDay
