I think the main reason (besides guns being beginner-friendly) is that it's another main timeline myth with Hunter MC.
So far every companion with Hunter MC (Lumiere, Colonel, Sy's standard) uses guns. They kept it lore-consistent & completely ignored weapon balance lol

@XR10160306 Foreseer (Zayne's standard) uses a wand!
New3 standard myths are all current TL so she got the gun for them, but OG3 myth isn't current MC so her weapon varries (like abysswalker is a gun but the other 2 aren't!)

My only complaint is that this is gonna be the third myth companion with a giant sword (KoD & NL) Infold, please remember giant axes & the million other cool fantasy weapons that aren't just big swords lol

Looks like the glasses mage girl (Tiara, apparently) has a darker skin tone than I first thought. Not sure if she looks paler in the trailers or standing next to Cai made her seem lighter by comparison 🤔
