@Acyn First rule. ALWAYS stand up to bullies. They fold. Every. Single. Time.

Newsom: And I think there’s going to be a hell of a State of the Union. I imagine that could mean more forays overseas — watch what happens with Iran. But this weakness is on display. World leaders have finally figured it out and the American people are seeing it, too.
When you stand up to this guy, he backs down. His great strength, if there is one, is figuring out your weakness and exploiting it. But he does not do well when people assert themselves and push back. That’s what the people of Minneapolis have done. That’s what’s happening across this country. And that’s the pathway back: conviction, strength, clarity, purpose.

@Rainmaker1973 I learned the breathing technique years ago. It works like a charm.

@jzux Having just tried that line on my husband in front of my daughters, my entire family now hates me on so many counts.

@mariana057 Oh! And when they take a long drink of water then loudly go, “Aaaaaaaah!” I have told my students never to do that in my presence or I will have to strangle them and I don’t want to do that because I love them but some things take priority. 😀

@marysia_cc Ohhhh, I cried so hard when my first grade teacher read it to the class they had to call my mom to come take me home.

@tedlieu @RepThomasMassie This whole thing is tragic but there's one tiny ray of light. Rob Reiner took one last one for the team - his senseless death at least revealed the absolute depths of depravity that the president is capable of. I hope that you know you're still getting under his skin, Mr. Reiner.

Dear @RepThomasMassie: Thank you for your humanity. I want you to know the White House isn’t ignoring Trump’s post about Rob Reiner and Michele. The official White House rapid response account amplified Trump’s post.
Thomas Massie@RepThomasMassie
Regardless of how you felt about Rob Reiner, this is inappropriate and disrespectful discourse about a man who was just brutally murdered. I guess my elected GOP colleagues, the VP, and White House staff will just ignore it because they’re afraid? I challenge anyone to defend it.

@MollyJongFast I think a lot of people were assigned The Great Gatsby in high school but didn't actually read it. Same for Grapes of Wrath. I wish people understood that these authors were TRYING TO TELL US SOMETHING!!!

Fitzgerald wrote of the careless rich who “smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money.”
A century later, it’s still true, only now the party’s at Mar-a-Lago, while millions are at risk of going hungry. independent.co.uk/news/world/ame…

Huntington’s disease is brutal.
A single DNA error → toxic protein → dead brain cells.
No cure. Always fatal. Always inherited.
But now? Science has flipped the script.
How the new gene therapy works:
1️⃣ Huntington’s mutation makes a toxic protein that kills neurons.
2️⃣ Doctors infuse gene therapy directly into the brain through a catheter.
3️⃣ Neurons absorb the genetic code - and turn into mini drug factories.
4️⃣ The therapy blocks the faulty messenger RNA → less toxic protein.
The result?
A 75% slowdown in disease progression.
Patients still walking when they should be in wheelchairs.
One man back at work after being medically retired.
This is not science fiction.
It’s genetic medicine, delivered in real time.
Advanced science…
To families living with Huntington’s, it feels like magic.
