The artist's audience and persona play a role too. It's why tiger woods got publicly demonized for cheating and playboi carti doesn't.

Kanye has simply built too much goodwill and recognition over the years. He'd have to be on some weinstein/diddy timing to truly be cancelled imo.

@chappellsaveus @PopBase It was in the middle of it. He showed initial progress in 2024, had a spaz out in 2025, then bounced back. In several of his new songs he is open and vulnerable about it. He's just different, I personally know people who are worse than him that haven't done half of what he did.
