@charansh While I enjoyed the movie overall, I felt the character of Vikram and his supreme swagger deserved much better writing and dialogues. The equation between the son and the father could have been explored better. The payoff of the reunion just doesn't hit you as much.

Honest thoughts after watching #Jawan review: It follows the same recent trend - to make mass entertainers, it adds a bit of everything but also compromises on quality of the film 😮‍💨. SRK does the heavy lifting, cuz everyone else is sidelined writing wise. And he does that perfectly. Esp during the monologue scene. Enjoyed the action scenes.. v pretty looking but got redundant seeing the same extrafast-slomo-extrafast style. also v unrealistic.. never felt the danger one bit smh. Nayanthara was really good. She understood the assignment she was given. But the assignment she was given wasn't good. for hostage specialist, she was v dumbed down. Her character deserved a bit better. Loved the theme bg music, but the stand-alone songs were pretty average.. and unnecessary. It's a three-hour film and these added A LOT to the runtime, due to which some imp emotional moments were cut-short before they could marinate; be felt/have impact? because of which the pacing & editing also felt inconsistent & hasty at a bunch of places to make up for the lost time. i think a better creative choice could've been made to give more time to certain scenes & character moments instead. Loved Deepika's cameo. She gave a 'small role, huge impact kind of a performance :) The message that movie delivers is really nice, i appreciate that. In closing - Was it better than Pathaan? Yes definitely. That’s all. A decent movie to watch w parents. #JawanReview
