When Russia hosted the World Cup in 2018, it had to suspend normal visa rules for the tournament. Foreigners with tickets could enter visa-free, using a scheme called ‘Fan ID.’
Russia also had to do weird stuff to keep FIFA’s sponsors happy. For example, small shops near Fan Zones and stadiums could only sell Budweiser beer on match days.
So yes, FIFA absolutely does dictate conditions to host governments when it suits FIFA. Infantino pretending otherwise is nonsense.

You don't bid for the World Cup if you plan to discriminate against attendees. FIFA usually reach an agreement with hosting countries to ensure visa issues and border issues for delegates don't arise.
Why is the USA not subject to that? Again, shut the fuck up.

People get denied visas for life-changing opportunities like scholarships, jobs, and immigration programs every day because of the passports they hold or the countries they come from. If governments are willing to draw the line there, why would anyone expect the World Cup to be the exception? The reality is that visa restrictions and refusals have always existed. A major sporting event doesn’t automatically override a country’s immigration policies.

You are not doing the world a favor for hosting the World Cup.
You bid to host it because of the advantage that comes with hosting it.
You should not deny millions of fans the right to see their countries play the beautiful football.
If you think your national security is at risk, transfer the right to another country to do so.
Football is bigger than you, it’s everyone’s sport.

You spent months criticizing Qatar and talking about every possible issue before and during the 2022 World Cup, yet it turned out to be one of the best-organized tournaments in history. Public transportation was free, fans could travel easily between stadiums some fans saw 4 matches in the stadium in same day, and the overall organization was praised by millions of visitors.
Now, when concerns are being raised about visa delays, strict entry procedures, and travel difficulties surrounding tournaments in the United States, we don't hear the same level of criticism from you. There have also been complaints about organizational decisions and match arrangements that many fans consider unnecessary or difficult, yet your voice is nowhere near as loud as it was when Qatar hosted the World Cup.
If your criticism is truly based on principles, then the same standards should apply to everyone. But when Qatar receives endless criticism while similar concerns elsewhere are met with silence, people are naturally going to question whether your issue was really about organization at all.
