Listed at 6'0", 240 lbs, the Tempe, Arizona native is a physical and disciplined defender. Shaffer shows solid range and strong instincts, producing at a high level with 119 tackles, 8 TFLs, 1 pick, and 4 PBUs this past season.
A former Arizona State transfer, Shaffer has compiled 242 tackles, 18 TFLs, 2.5 sacks, 2 interceptions, and 11 PBUs across two seasons in Abilene.

Will Shaffer was a standout for @saguarofootball.
Got his degree at ASU and found the field as a rotational linebacker and in special teams.
He transferred to Utah State only to see the coaching staff that recruited him depart.
He transferred to Abilene Christian and has thrived in the last two years: 244 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, 3 interceptions and eight pass breakups.
He just kept pushing and now he's looking to do the same at the next level.
