@anakinleias oh i want to go back to my long comment days too. I don’t have much time for it now bc life gets in the way. but i’m going to try when i can. it’s nice talking about this! i’m glad we could share about our experiences in fandom.

@choco_fountn to make the writer friends i have now (and the writers who aren't friends) feel the way you're describing so i'll be making an effort when i review, as i usually just make a point to thank the author for sharing even if the fic is a decade old. thanks so much!!

@anakinleias haha i just tell myself that maybe it landed but they didn’t remember to comment about it? i laugh at certain things in fic and by the time I’m at the end of the chapter, I’ve found other funnier things and comment about them instead. that makes me feel better lol

@choco_fountn yes i'm always putting in the disclaimer when i attempt to be funny because im one of Those people who will laugh things off and try to fit little jokes usually about my own context and they don't always land. something to work on. but when they land it truly is euphoric🥳

@choco_fountn after what you shared and others too i can see how that came across, again, it wasn't the intent at all, more about how this was a choice, supposed to be fun and free. low stakes, a hobby to be enjoyed and not a job to be endured because you have no choice (does it make sense?)

@anakinleias I’ve been the person to leave lengthy comments on fics and I’ve made a lifelong friend out of it. The way she responded with excitement to my comments made me comment more and read her work deeper. It’s so good leaving a comment gushing about someone’s work and seeing the joy in
