@GaryD20Games I have a friend who has concepts for that in something he's been working on. Been a while since I really talked to him so I don't know its status but it sounded cool to me. I think it was a bit of a hybrid between the two, HP and wound systems.

So, what are our thoughts on systems that use stress, damage thresholds, and wound mechanics instead of the more traditional Hit Point systems? Any games out there that do this particularly well? 🎲🧐

@Glowsquid Correction: Top-Right (labeled L3 / Button 4) is activating the UI button labeled Y on the region select menu so it's XBox Y, not X. I have successfully misremembered. Sorry about that!

I discovered something amusing! Started playing Night Striker on Operation Night Strikers on PC, and playing on a controller just doesn't feel quite right to me because the game was originally designed with a flight stick. So hooked up my PS3-era ThrustMaster HOTAS and it works!

@Glowsquid For the Thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS X I didn't need to change anything with the PC/PS3 switch set to PC. Was surprisingly plug and play. I believe mine uses DirectInput for PC support.

@chronosv2 Did you have to change anything in Steam or the game's settings? I can't get a more recent stick (the VKB gladiator) to work.

This does not make me any better or worse at the game, but it's fun getting what I feel is a slightly closer experience to the original design with something I already own. I did NOT expect it to work, though controller prompts don't line up at all.

@GlazeMaster2000 @VenomGunnerRips It's actually the in-game reset combination. Doing that would have caused his brother's GB to reset and since he hadn't saved in hours all that progress would have been lost. Up+Select+B on startup would delete the save but only after a confirmation prompt.

Many years ago, I remember my brother playing Pokémon Gold on the Game Boy and he got so far while playing for about 4-5 hours without saving. I said to him, "Hey, want to know a cheat to get every Pokémon instantly?" Which he replied yes. So I told him to hold: Start Select A B

@St1ka This is what did it for me. The birth year rankings in Nintendo World Championships: NES. Seeing games pop up with "2 years old at time of release" makes me think "I can't be THAT old, right?"

I have never felt older...

Pretty happy with this result. Definitely room for improvement but an A Rank on all challenges or better when a few years ago I didn't think I could speedrun (and a fair number of S's) is cool.
