My favorite logmonitor feature nobody talks about:
Log Switch
User #382 reports a bug?
→ Enable logging for ONLY that user
→ See their exact logs in real-time
→ Fix the bug
→ Disable logging
Surgical debugging. Zero noise from other users.

Hot take: Most developers don't need observability platforms.
They need to see what their console.log prints.
In production.
In real-time.
That's it. That's the whole product. → logmonitor.io

@Firebase now that's what you should have called Firebase Studio

Building logmonitor.io in public.
Week 1 stats:
→ SDKs: Flutter + JavaScript
→ Setup time: ~2 minutes
→ Logs processed: growing daily
The goal: become the simplest monitoring tool a developer ever uses.

Stages of debugging a production bug:
1. "It works on my machine"
2. Check server logs (nothing useful)
3. Ask user to reproduce (they can't)
4. Add more console.logs
5. Deploy, wait, pray
6. Repeat for 3 hours
Or... just stream your logs live with logmonitor.io

Set up production log monitoring in 47 seconds:
1. npm install logmonitor-js
2. LogMonitor.init({ apiKey: 'your-key' })
3. Open app.logmonitor.io
Your logs are now streaming live.
No config files. No agents. No YAML.
English

Datadog: $23/host/month + complexity tax
Sentry: Error reports, not live logs
LogRocket: Session replay bloat
logmonitor.io: $9/mo. Live logs. That's it.
Sometimes less is more.

you sit in a room
with several others
for a year
go through what someone in front of the room is talking about
some of you will get it quickly
some will take time
but that's not important
its more important to finish what the person is talking about
once they are done, you are asked what you understood
but its not a chill conversation
it is a stressful 2-3 hours, no talking to anyone, no referring to anything else, just relying on your memory from the past year - and putting everything down
then the same person who talked all year, evaluates your answers
and give you a score
not just you - everyone else in the room as well
and then they share who got the highest score
and who got the lowest
the highest ones are brought in front the room and everyone claps for them
the lowest ones are told - you didn't understand much, did you
why don't you go through an entire year of the person talking again
and then let's see if you understand this time around
welcome to classroom teaching

What if you could console.log your production app?
Not error reports. Not crash dumps.
Actual console.log output. Streaming live from your users' devices.
That's what logmonitor.io does. One line of code to set up.
English

Your user says "the app crashed."
You say "can you describe what happened?"
They say "it just crashed."
This is not debugging. This is a guessing game.
There's a better way → logmonitor.io
