The real answer to this is that the elite class has become so powerful in the post WWII West that it has decided to destroy its own nations and replace them with something more ideologically satisfying. It's part religion, part pragmatic power preservation.
This is probably clearest to see in Britain where The Deep State is basically killing off the actual English/Welsh/Scottish population and replacing them with a diverse globalized population.
The Democratic system is entirely fake and the media is so thoroughly controlled that people can't see what's happening.
