I am playing the extreme here but the advantage of living in a van is that your costs are extremely low and that sacrifice should allow you to create financial head room, get a deposit etc but the interview suggests not.

@cg90_craig @SkyNews @AmeliaHarperTV If you earn £24k and deduct tax you will come out with around £1500 ish a month if you rent, average rent a round £800 , then food, bills etc on top you will probably have little to nothing left each month…if you didn’t pay tax that would be nice but unfortunately in the UK 🙁

@colmcfcwray @SkyNews @AmeliaHarperTV My point is that say they can earn £24k MW a year and costs are say £4k all in as they don’t have all the costs you mention… then after 40 years they have £800k plus a pension. The numbers don’t add up that they should be in poverty (if as they claim they work all their life)

I know a few who have done this … not one of them regrets it
