It was great to be on the stage today with this group of amazing people during the #kscope25 Lightning Talks! My focus was on AI assisted coding, showing some tips on how to get the best out of it, how to make your vibe coded apps secure and how to utilize AI in your #orclAPEX development. @Matt_Mulvaney showed some clever tips about Template Components - make sure to check his blog and plugins repo for more details. Jon Dixon unveiled some details on using LLMs, RAG and Vector Search to help his subscribers find answers to APEX related questions, using blog posts from the community. Erik Espinoza explained why Passkeys are secure and preferred method for authentication, emphasizing on the importance of having them built into APEX in some of the future releases. @commi235 showed some smart workflows, combining Flows for APEX and LLMs to drive the application workflow in one way or another. @dgielis demonstrated the dbLinter - a new extension for VS Code, helping you write better SQL and PL/SQL, suggesting live correction, extensive examples and explanation of a broad range of errors and the ability to fix your code on the fly!

#orclAPEX APEX_COLLECTION Should have a RETURNING SEQ_ID after adding/updating member like SQL, INSERT/UPDATE RETURNING.

@aejes @vuvarovs Register for notifications on the databases you’re interested using Cloud Console. That way you get an email once a new APEX release is available. Not sure it also applies to patches.

Customer’s database is suffering from „latch: shared pool” with high miss source on „kghfrunp: alloc: wait”. I located a bug related to shared server and recommended patching to 19.25. Application vendor: we have shrinked a temp file, because it was too big… 🤦‍♂️
