⚡️ Orbán came to power with money from the Russian mafia — a former organized crime member’s confession László Kovács, linked to Hungary’s criminal underworld of the 1990s, told The Insider that he worked as a courier for Semyon Mogilevich and personally delivered cash to high-ranking officials. According to him, he delivered $50,000–$100,000 to Sándor Pintér — then Hungary’s police chief — in exchange for “protection” and the closure of criminal cases. He also claims that in 1997–1998, much larger sums — from $300,000 to $1 million — were funneled through Pintér to Viktor Orbán for his election campaign. After Orbán’s victory in the 1998 elections, Pintér was immediately appointed Minister of the Interior. Kovács alleges that once in power, former “sponsors” were eliminated — through arrests and killings. Mogilevich himself reportedly left for Russia. Kovács says he survived an assassination attempt and served seven years in prison on what he believes was a fabricated case. “When the власти change, I will give official testimony in court.
