Rescuers say the trouble began when a woman in a group of 14 hikers slipped and fell about 20 metres. The man tried to climb down to assist her, but Lions Bay SandR says he also slipped and fell farther down the steep, snowy terrain, coming to rest just above a waterfall.

Man shot and killed at #homelessencampment in #Abbotsford Police say the shooting happened Monday night at the Whatcom Road Park and Ride, which authorities say is the location of a large encampment. Officers found a man suffering from life-threatening injuries, who later died.

Two arrested in #Vancouver after alleged home invasion, kidnapping. #VPD say a 62 yo man was taken from an East Vancouver home and forced into the suspects' vehicle. Vehicle was spotted 30minutes later, and fled from police but officers later managed to box in the getaway car.
