Every startup wants more traffic but most of the time what they really need is better positioning.
At least that’s what I think every time I see a landing page with an endless list of features and benefits.
We can do this, we can help you with that, oh did you know we can also solve another problem too.
That’s positioning based on fear.
They do that because they don’t want to lose even one potential customer.
Unfortunately what happens is they end up appealing to no one in particular.

@Tina_Donati Excellent tips, they'll Improve your chances of ranking and making an impact!

Those high-volume, high-difficulty keywords look appealing when you're first starting a blog, but are you really equipped to compete with companies like Hubspot in the SERP?
Instead, start by
1. dropping a short-tail high-volume keyword into the keyword magic tool (if you're using Semrush).
2. Set keyword difficulty from 0-49%.
3. Choose your intent (obviously depends on your topic, but I like looking at commercial and transactional focused keywords since readers are expected to take an action).
4. Toggle between related, phrase match, broad match, and questions since these will list out long-tail keywords.
5. Choose easy-medium difficulty, high volume keywords with intent that matches what you're writing about.
You have a better chance of ranking for these keywords—and avoiding disappointment when you put so much work into topics that don't rank.

@theandreboso Agreed you've got to double-check sources, look for first-hand experience and ask questions
English

A lot of people who give marketing advice online don't have first-hand experience.
They talk about stuff they read somewhere and try to sound like an expert.
It’s easy to spot them if you actually did the thing.
The guy teaching FB ads who doesn’t know what the learning phase is…
The SEO guru claiming that word count is a ranking factor…
I usually mind my own business but I’ve seen advice that can be harmful for beginners.
Be sure to do your own research and ask questions before following blindly what someone says.

@rochi_zalani Great advice, Give users enough time to explore and experience your product's value.

#FreelanceTip: Open that Google Doc as soon as you get it, just to make sure you have the right permissions and all your questions answered.
That way you avoid an awkward turtle moment two weeks later when you’re actually ready to dive in.
