@scottddavis@_TheDanWarren I agree but cannot get people to use them. Instead we have secret documents that are share between 2 people and the rest of the team never sees
@Studio_Bim Looked and tried it when they introduced it. Use CTC to manage them and that will not work so it becomes all manual. UNIFI also had that feature, but has the same problem. Hoping that CTC will add it to hive and allow their tool to access it there
Is anyone using the Revit Shared Parameter service? I've been looking at it over the last couple of days and while the idea looks good it feels a total nightmare to administer...
The application of Tags especially seems absolutely terrible... Am I missing something?
@maciej_wypych We use the uploader tool in DC to move both large files and numbers of files while maintaining references. Never had an issue with it working.
Donald Trump literally is ignorant.
He really just claimed that if you want to drive from York, Pennsylvania to Washington DC in an electric car, you would need to stop 5 times.
The Tesla Model 3 electric car has a range of up to 363 miles.
It's only 91 miles from York to DC.
You could literally drive back and forth twice on one charge.
@DanielMillerEsq While I agree there is a difference between autocracy and communism. USSR and China are both autocratic regimes that use communism / socialism as their method. Nazis were anti communism but had similar methods. So did Iraq and Iran.
This isn’t going to matter in the election. It’s just dumb. But I’m so freaking tired of the “Democrats are Communists” trope because if any major figures are flirting with “Communism”, it’s Republicans. I mean, just look at what Republicans have done in recent yrs…1/🧵
@JasonKirk_fyi I think you put “cross” at the end of any sport and it’s a must watch. Gymnastics cross? Yup let’s see if you can be on a balance beam with 3 other women at the same time
I’m constantly in talks with 27-32 year olds who complain of “living paycheck to paycheck”.
Here’s how it looks like:
Salary: $6,000 (after taxes, insurance deductions, & funding 401k)
-A luxury apartment: $3,000/month
-Car payments (luxury car): $750/month
-Student loan payment: $500/month
-Groceries (Whole foods): $700/month
-Monthly utilities: $500/month
-Takeout’s/eat outs: $300/month
-Miscellaneous: $100/month
Some may call it, hand to mouth.
I call it lifestyle creep.
@redrunner92 Suppliers typically provide details and generally I stop there. If you are specing a specific product then you sometimes go a bit further. It's mostly an experience thing that comes with lots of detailing time and working out those details
If an architect makes a detail drawing(s) of an item (example: a custom door, like NanaWall, at a porch), should the architect know how to install the item in the field if asked?
IDK if many could. Many products are complicated, and architects often have scant field experience.
