I'm just about done with the Grand Canal Docks Sign. It's been left to deteriorate alongside a lot of Dublin heritage. But there is great beauty in this piece. I would love to see it restored and protected. #derelictireland

Waterways Ireland's new ten-year plan includes the continue redevelopment of the Ulster Canal, which will include the creation of a new canal and marina in Clones, Co Monaghan, and redeveloping Dublin's Docklands and the city's canals rte.ie/news/business/…

@rtenews Good news if true. I have been hoping more attention could be called to the docklands heritage. Waterways Ireland seems to operate on its own rule book as opposed to a heritage led approach. This about sums up the current state of the docks heritage.
