We tell little girls that they can grow up to be anything they want, they can be leaders, but have we truly been honest about the conditions required for a woman to occupy the role? According to McKinsey, 43% of women leaders are burned out (vs 31% of men), and more than half say they plan to leave their organisations within the next two years - not because they’re incompetent or uninterested, but because leadership structures were built for men with wives, not women with lives outside of their careers.
