I am with you. Way too much focus in the EVM L2 community on degen opportunities vs. payment utility. With Smart Account Web3 wallets, gas fee abstraction with USDC, and broad CCTP impl., I think the UX for mass adoption in markets like Africa is poised to explode. BUT... 1/2

USDT on Tron is the go-to stablecoin for African crypto-natives. BUSD on BSC takes second place. Today, stablecoins on Optimism/Arbitrum have similar/better - transfer costs - crypto<->fiat liquidity The problem is that most folk outside of CT have never heard about Optimism/Arbitrum 🤷♂️ Ethereum L2s need better marketing and BD in Africa More grants and support for African crypto startups, events, influencer marketing .etc
