@curiouscurate I mean... Does anyone today think his split was legitimately justified? Even the modern RECers have basically dropped the banner of the issues he separated over. If his split was not a schism, then I do not know what actually is, personally.

Many today do not understand, or simply forget, that in the late 19th century (when W.S. Perry wrote "Bishops of the American Church") deposition from the Episcopal Church for schism was not considered deposition merely from a "denomination", but from the Church of God.

Son of Hungarian immigrants who agrees. With rising energy and housing prices coinciding with inflation, the day to day needs that press more and more usurp identity. It’s easy for me in the United States to see the importance of Hungarian identity and the long term vision of Fidesz when I’m not struggling economically. What do you think?

I would say this is a fundamental realization for me. The way I think and was raised is fundamentally different from the average Hungarian. I'm an ethnic Hungarian from Transylvania. For me I always found great importance in my Hungarian identity. But a Hungarian from Hungary, would not put that importance to their identity. They don't value or protect it the same manner. These elections have made me re-think what it even means to be Hungarian...after these elections I am not sure.

I haven’t posted much about this, but my wife will be giving birth sometime in the next two weeks. She somehow talked me into a home birth. We have a great midwife. But I would appreciate any prayer you might be able to spare for a safe delivery and a short labor.
