The Model 3 is a car that changed the world — and changed my life.
In July 2017, during the test drive event for the first Model 3 deliveries (as shown in the photo), I was one of only four Chinese journalists present at the scene.
After the test drive, I fell madly in love with this car. When it went on sale in China in 2018, I was fortunate enough to be the very first person to place an order.
As a result, I became the first Model 3 owner in China — and in all of Asia.
I’m so glad that the first smart electric vehicle I fell in love with was the Tesla Model 3. And I can say with pride that the first person I ever interviewed in the automotive world was Elon Musk.
All of this gave me an unshakeable belief in electric vehicles, and set me on the path to becoming one of China’s earliest smart EV content creators.
Ten years on, the Model 3 has never been surpassed. It is a truly great car.

We got our hands on a Model Y running FSD V14.2.2.5, and drove it all the way from San Jose back to the parking lot at Fisherman’s Wharf. The only thing we did ourselves was tap the button on the screen.
From NVIDIA in the afternoon to Tesla at night, the intelligent driving experience they delivered was truly paradigm-shifting. AI inference-driven systems, reasonably balanced policy support, and fully standardized traffic rules have together created a reality where you no longer need bizarre edge cases to prove how good or bad a driver-assist system is. What matters more is traffic efficiency. And judging from tonight’s performance, I honestly think FSD was driving faster than I would have… after all, it can still run at top speed at night, and even cut across four lanes in succession to overtake.
I now feel that the inflection point for intelligent driving in the U.S. has arrived. I think the consumer stimulus this brings to the broader auto market will start to show, and I’m also optimistic that we’ll see some uniquely American localized applications for intelligent driving emerge here.
More than ever before, I’m bullish on both Tesla and NVIDIA.

I believe that a brand’s upward journey is always accompanied by an elevation in its aesthetics, rigor, and team capability.
Yesterday, XPeng released the official images of its latest GX SUV. The AI-generated background was set in Africa, which in itself carries strong atmosphere and visual appeal. However, it’s quite obvious that these images were created by people who have never actually been to Africa. That sense of “inauthenticity” ends up undermining the brand’s overall tone.
Let’s start with the trees. On real African savannas, acacia trees are typically around 6–12 meters tall, with trunk thickness and canopy spread that have a very clear scale relationship to a midsize or large SUV. In these images, the trees are far too short and too thin, looking more like graphic background elements arranged for composition. They don’t truly participate in spatial perspective, which makes them feel unreal.
Next, the water. When grasslands have dried to the point of turning yellow and the soil appears powdery, that corresponds in reality to the mid-to-late dry season. At that stage, small bodies of water have usually dried up entirely, leaving sandy riverbeds or a few scattered muddy pools.
The most unrealistic part, however, is the scale relationship between the river and the vehicle. The proportions during the vehicle’s water crossing are clearly distorted: the water looks too shallow and too neatly shaped, more like a scaled visual asset. If the buffalo in the background are at a realistic scale, the vehicle would have to be well over ten meters long.
On top of that, in most African national parks today, tourists are strictly forbidden from leaving their vehicles, and it’s even more impossible to stage a picnic in areas with large predators. The entire scenario, as depicted, would actually be illegal.
Especially for brands going global, I think these details matter even more. After all, there are African audiences watching—and plenty of Europeans who know Africa well or travel there regularly.

Tesla China has begun rolling out software update 2025.45.32.1 for Model S, 3, X, and Y. This update focuses on voice control, automation, in-car entertainment, dashcam recording, and map improvements.
Key highlights include:
1.Enhanced voice commands
Drivers can now wake the system by voice and issue continuous voice commands, such as controlling climate settings or opening interfaces hands-free.
2.New “Automation” app
A new automation feature allows users to create custom workflows using simple “if / then / execute” logic. Vehicle actions or voice reminders can be triggered by specific events or conditions.
3.Upgraded in-car music and entertainment
Improvements to Kugou Music, QQ Music, and NetEase Cloud Music, including daily recommendations, charts, karaoke mode, and song recognition. Some features require Premium Connectivity or Wi-Fi.
4.Smarter dashcam recording duration
Dashcam recording time now automatically adapts to USB storage capacity. For example, 128 GB supports around 3 hours of footage, while 1 TB can store up to 24 hours, reducing the risk of overwriting videos.
5.Aggregated Supercharger display
Nearby Supercharger stations are now grouped together on the map and can be expanded with a tap for easier viewing.
6.Vehicle exterior personalization
New options for body wraps and license plate customization are available via the Toybox “Paint Shop,” with support for custom designs uploaded via USB.
7.Improved WeChat integration
Navigation addresses from WeChat can be sent directly to the vehicle after activating the service on the phone.
8.Easier parking search
Nearby parking locations can now be searched and navigated to directly from point-of-interest pages.
9.China map update
Map data has been updated to version CN-2025.44-15553.
