I don’t get all the hate for the Twitter 2.0 email, I’ve always done my best when working 80 hours a week for a man child who has no clear goals and screams “MORE HARDCORE” whenever a clarifying question is asked. That’s when I really thrive.

Even Netflix, which doses not provide its employees with free Netflix subscriptions (!!!), still provides free breakfast and lunch.

I was once asked to come back and work for a company that fired me, so I do have some sense of how certain Twitter engineers are feeling right now. I offered an absurdly high per-hour consultancy rate which the company declined. At least we BOTH ended up feeling insulted.

Unpopular opinion: Efficiency as a developer doesn’t mean to do things fast, it’s to do things properly so that the decisions we make today won’t slow us down in the future.
Too many people thing you gotta write code as fast as one possibly can. I really don’t think so.

Today marks my two-year anniversary with @NetflixEng It’s been a season of many changes and many challenges, both personal and professional. Most days, I still love this - the hardest and most rewarding job I’ve ever had.
