Help me understand, @Bhaal_Spawn, how The Guardian is not virtue signaling here. They announce that they will not remain on the X platform due to the "disturbing content" and "the views of the owner." But at the same time, they will use the platform to get news, allow users to share The Guardian's own news, and embed X news in their own articles. How is this "leaving the platform"? If they leave due to "disturbing content," they should not use the platform. At all. Classic virtue signaling.

@malm_magnus @Bhaal_Spawn The answer is what I already said. The Guardian is welcome to leave a platform that is run by a neo-facist in order to "virtue signal" it doesn't support his agenda. However, it would be foolish to leave breaking news on the table.

X is obviously a place where misinformation is freely shared, with no true accountability -- much like other social platforms. Difference is X is owned by a very unwell man.

@malm_magnus @Bhaal_Spawn Many organisations & people of news-relevance share updates on Twitter/X first. If a publication like the Guardian were to ignore the platform entirely, they'd potentially be limiting their ability, & their reader's ability, to access breaking or current newstories.

This was good for upper middle class & above Americans in the short term, & no one in the longer term except the extremely wealthy. Europe's safety & economy are under serious threat.
