Please let’s all mock the hubris and naivety it took to build this list. CNC programmers? CAM was solved in the 80s and 90s. What are they talking about? Surely not the actual machine operators because there is not one/any AI that can do 1/100 of what those folks do.

@praeclarum The flaw in Twitter is that I can only like this post once. EVERY developer (kernel or not) should have this mindset, and yet it seems most do not.

Do not break your users. This is such an important rule but it's surprising how many devs just don't get it. This goes for breaking APIs too (no matter your semantic version excuses). Pedantic arguments like uniformity, cleanliness, modernization, marketing, etc. are wrong.

Spent the day at Augusta; now on my flight home drinking one (1) IPA. Haven't been in a decade, and thought I would share a few thoughts. -The course truly is immaculate. (Obviously.) But I found myself obsessing over the non obvious things and the rarely visited places, and every spot on the course has been give such immense care. It's a piece of art, truly. -Efficiency. Everything there is so tuned in. Entry, food, restrooms, merch, etc. I was in awe watching workers and volunteers move in sequence. For as grand as it is, they have everything down. Most impressive thing I have seen at any sporting event. -After seeing (again) the elevation changes, bunker shapes and sheer danger everywhere it's hard not to marvel at the scoring. Augusta is such a punishing beast - a chore to walk in many places. I can't imagine playing it in this type of spot. Can't wait for the weekend. We're holding Rose, DeChambeau and Lowry tickets, so we have a shot.
