My favorite cmux feature is Cmd+Shift+U. I have 17 workspaces open right now, each running an agent. I used to click through tabs and macOS system-wide notifications to figure out what completed. But with cmux, I can just "Cmd+Shift+U" Cmd+Shift+U jumps to the newest unread notification. In practice that means the last agent that finished. It switches to the right workspace, focuses the exact pane, flashes it so you see where to look, and marks it read. If the notification came from another window, that window comes forward.

Your homework for today ... Spend 8 hours completely optimizing your code factory and all of your agentic harnessing. It's tedious and frustrating, but it's worth it. I spent all of yesterday cleaning out automations, getting agent browser testing refined, culling skills and helper scripts. Really fine-tuned my code factory, and wow, it is worth it.

Kudos to @convex who were there and hotfixed my slop when ClawHub went from 5 user/day to 100k user/day over a weekend and kept things running. And now they take over the server bill. They probably didn't plan for it but it's the best agent-first database/platform you can pick.

The key win: each mode changes reasoning and model behavior so I apply the right amount of effort per task. When you hit limits, the answer is not always more horsepower. It is choosing the right mode and using it deliberately.

What each mode does: • chat: quick, low-friction responses • plan: strategy, architecture, sequencing • dev: hands-on implementation and coding • debug: deep investigation and root cause work • spark: fast, lightweight output
