Can we honestly call this a campaign for Guild President at Makerere University Business School. @OfficialMubs ? Because from where I stand, it looks more like a talent show singing, dancing, and chasing trends instead of presenting clear ideas and real solutions. Campaigns are supposed to be about vision, policy, and leadership. But now it feels like whoever entertains the crowd the most stands a better chance than whoever can actually represent students effectively. It raises a serious concern: are we electing leaders or just rewarding performances? Because if entertainment keeps taking center stage, then ideology, competence, and critical thinking will keep fading into the background. And when that happens, we shouldn’t be surprised when the quality of leadership coming out of our universities starts to decline.
