PUBLIC CONFESSION: I decided to delete my post below about Pope Leo’s statements on the US border controls and the Iran conflict. While I profoundly disagree with the Pope’s positions against US government policies to confront Iran while failing to mention Islamic terrorist genocides, threats to America and national sovereignties in Europe and America I regret my characterization of him as ‘woke’ and ‘liberal’. I meant no insult and disrespect. My faith in Christ is what I try to live by. The Pope, like his predecessor Francis are men with an apparent political ideology which require challenge outside their theological lane. Many have taken my statements as an insult to Pope Leo and I deeply regret it. I should have written it more carefully and sensitive given the Pope’s Christian role and many other attributes. I pray for the Pope’s enlightenment and success in leading his flock to a more peaceful, free and safe world for all. I pray for President Trump and leaders of the Free World to promote peace, security, freedom and prosperity for all while on Earth.

In 1998 when 'Sarah' an employee from Hamleys toy store in London got caught stealing from her own store, I arrested her for 'theft-employee.' Her response to caution was, "Do they fire me now, or will I get a letter?" She knew there were consequences to her actions. When I went to the media in 2016 with allegations of corruption within @hamiltonpolice, I too knew there would be consequences. Accountability means you accept the outcome of 'your' decisions. In #NewBrunswick, Adebowale Adekoya (33) was originally charged with assaulting his former partner. While that charge was later dismissed, he was convicted of breaching a no-contact order, a court order put in place for a reason. To stop him assaulting his partner. A conviction was entered. Consequences followed. But on appeal, Justice Mario J. Lanteigne replaced his conviction with a conditional discharge, specifically noting the immigration consequences, effectively allowing Adekoya to avoid deportation. Facts - When Adekoya assaulted someone and breached that order, he knew there would be consequences. Just like anyone does. 'Sarah' knew she was getting fired. I knew I would probably get fired. So why are we now adjusting justice outcomes based on consequences that were entirely foreseeable? This isn’t about being harsh, it’s about being consistent. Because once we start tailoring justice to avoid downstream consequences, we’re no longer applying the law equally, because everybody's 'downstream' is different. Public confidence in the Canadian justice system is already at an all time low. It's shit like this that makes you realize perhaps we're past the point of no return. #onpoli #NBpoli #canpoli #BCpoli

The corruption is never fucking ending. It’s every fucking day. But not just police officers, civilian staff too. A civilian employee with the Calgary Police Service, Angela MacLeod, has been charged after allegedly accessing police databases to look up people she had, or wanted, personal relationships with. What I’ve repeatedly accused uniformed officer of doing, adding weight to my allegations. Investigators say the searches ran for six months and targeted four individuals. Police databases contain some of the most sensitive information the government holds. Accessing that information for personal reasons isn’t curiosity, it’s an abuse of power. It’s also a crime. And it happens far more often than police services want to admit. Database misuse is one of the most common internal misconduct issues in policing worldwide, not just #Canada. Integrity in policing isn’t just about the badge. It’s about everyone with access to the system. #onpoli #canpoli

This Canadian singer released ‘Go for Soda’ in 1984. It reached #22 on the Canada Top Singles Chart and #86 on the Billboard Hot 100. People assumed this was a drunk-driving song but it’s said to be about two people arguing in a relationship who can’t agree on anything, so instead of fighting, they just chill out with something like a soda. 👉🏻 Name the artist.

While I disagree with the Pope on these earthly policy matters I regret the words I used. The Pope’s moral statements are grounded in Christian doctrine and I am no one to judge him. Well this is fucked … The ringleader of the $22M Toronto Pearson gold heist has been sentenced to only 4 years in prison. Good behaviour, out in 18 months. For those who missed the story: in April 2023, a shipment containing roughly 400 kg of gold bars and millions in foreign currency arrived at cargo facilities at Toronto Pearson International Airport. Using a fraudulent airway bill, a truck driver simply showed up, the cargo was loaded by forklift, and the truck drove away. $22 million - gone! Arsalan Chaudhary, has been sentenced to just four years and ordered to pay restitution that will never be recovered. Let’s discuss what message this sends. If you steal $22 million, help plan the largest gold heist in Canadian history, and the likely time actually served ends up being closer to a year or two, that is not deterrence. That is a risk calculation. Organized crime does the math. Huge upside. Hardly any downside. When the punishment for high-value organized theft is measured in months not years, the justice system sends the exact opposite signal it’s meant too. Deterrence only works when the consequences outweigh the reward. Organized criminals asks themselves “Is the score worth the risk?” I’m gonna say to most, 18 months in jail definitely worth $22M.
