@adamscochran Isn’t one possibility that we’re “disappearing” these scientists in order for them to work on something truly groundbreaking. Like if you had something Manhattan Project level today you couldn’t just have all those scientists take a sabbatical. Would be too obvious.

Over the past year, 10 different US specialists, ranging from scientists working on aerospace, nuclear and UAP research have all gone missing. Most of the cases have been labelled as old person wandering off, or disappearing when hiking… But it’s way too many to be a coincidence especially when many of them worked together, and all happened to work on top US secrets…

@Jesse_Livermore I also liked the @danwwang book “Breakneck.” One disagreement I have with the premise, and your tweet by extension, is that the US has always been run by lawyers. What? Half the founders are lawyers, most of the early presidents are lawyers.

This is a monopsony not a monopoly.

#BREAKING: New Report Exposes How Medical Residency Hiring Monopoly Harms Patients and Doctors Newly obtained documents reveal how the Match placement system for resident physicians operates as a monopoly in the medical residency hiring market. Its monopolistic practices harm resident physicians, impede patients' access to care, and constrain the growth of America's physician workforce. A special-interest antitrust exemption currently shields the Match’s anticompetitive conduct from scrutiny, allowing it to harm the public while avoiding judicial oversight. To everyone who said prediction markets are just sports, here’s the CEO of a $110b company: 1. Weather and temperature contracts are the most frequently traded 2. Utilities will soon hedge electricity and natural gas contracts using these markets Prediction markets are already institutional You’re just not paying close enough attention

@travismandrews It’s a shame the Red Sparrow adaptation was a bust bc he was perfectly cast as Marty Gable in it. Made to be a series, hopefully it gets a shot.

Bill Camp is the ultimately That Guy. One of Hollywood’s — and Broadway’s — hardest working actors. Also one of the world’s best. I’ve been fascinated by him for years so I went to New York to find out what makes him tick. My latest: washingtonpost.com/entertainment/…

@PeterOlivier Prepare a detailed analysis on Wes Anderson’s style regardless of the panel. Example: Peter, what do you think about the state of funding for scale-ups? “There is a stark contrast between what is in the foreground and what is in the background.”

@TimRunsHisMouth You think you invented monitoring the situation? Ethel in Gainesville has been monitoring the situation since asbestos was a carnival treat. She’s monitoring situations you aren’t even aware of 25/8 366 days a year.

@ScottButtram There are two probable explanations for this: 1) you’ve become more of a piece of shit the older you’ve gotten 2) your threshold for acting like an asshole has always been a 90 second walk, but the distribution of corrals has decreased to beyond that threshold

@webberweather @RyanMaue has unfortunately become a joke. Following an ideology that is destroying what he’s worked on and either too proud or dumb to recognize it.

We're importing less, and not producing more. Here's 3 ways this could end: 1. This supply-demand imbalance creates shortages and empty shelves 2. Price rise to equate demand and supply, sparking inflation 3. A recession decreases demand (so shortages never emerge)
